King Charles is finding it impossible to stop holding a grudge against Prince Harry despite loving his son, a Royal expert has claimed.
A new report suggests that while the King obviously adores his son he is unable to forgive him for what he wrote about his family in his memoir Spare.ย
Now Royal biographer Christopher Andersen has admitted that he believes it may be impossible for Charles to ever see past Harryโs perceived discretions.
The situation is made even more difficult because of Harryโs critique of Camilla according to the expert.ย
Andersen said: โI think people have to realise that the one thing that Charles finds unforgivable is criticism of Camilla.โ
Talking to Fox News Digital, Anderson said that โno criticismโ of Camilla could be deemed acceptable and that โunfortunately for Harryโ he has said โsome pretty devastating things about her.โ
He said: โPrince Harry made it clear that he felt she was the villain in the piece.
โI think that still bothers the king, and I donโt know that it will be easy for him to [forgive]. I donโt think theyโll ever forgive Harry for that.โ He added that Harry still โresentsโ Camilla and that until that is resolved the Duke โis on his own.โ
The report comes after Royal commentator Lizzie Cundy hit out at Harry after he decided not to mark Fatherโs Day with a public message for his father. She said: โI thought it was very poignant that Prince William sent this beautiful post. It shows the bond they still have and the respect he has for his father, and thereโs Harry, very noticeably absent.
Talking to GBN America Lizzie continued: โLetโs not forget, this is a 75-year-old man suffering with cancer, going on with all his duties, at Trooping the Colour he was stood there in the pouring rain. You just think, โWow, this man is absolutely incredibleโ, he is everything Harry isnโt.โ
Lizzie then gave her damning verdict that Harryโs behaviour has gone too far and while she did admit nobody knows if the Duke of Sussex celebrated his father in private, his actions are beyond reproach in her view. She concluded: โHarry just seems to have lost the plot. And how hurtful indeed not to even send a Fatherโs Day message. We donโt know if he did it privately.
โNormally, Harry and Meghan are very vocal, but if they canโt post a Fatherโs Day message, thatโs unforgivable.โ
It seems that the rift between King Charles and Prince Harry may be deeper than initially thought, as a Royal expert has revealed that the King is finding it impossible to let go of the grudge he holds against his son. Despite his love for Harry, Charles appears unable to forgive him for the things he wrote about the royal family in his memoir Spare.
Royal biographer Christopher Andersen has weighed in on the situation, suggesting that Charles may never be able to move past Harry’s perceived discretions. According to Andersen, one major sticking point for the King is Harry’s criticism of Camilla.
Andersen explained, “No criticism of Camilla is acceptable in Charles’ eyes, and unfortunately for Harry, he has made some pretty devastating comments about her.” This ongoing resentment towards Camilla seems to be a major barrier to reconciliation between father and son.
Further complicating matters is Harry’s recent decision not to publicly acknowledge Father’s Day, a move that has drawn criticism from Royal commentator Lizzie Cundy. Cundy noted the stark difference between Harry and his brother Prince William, who did publicly honor their father on the occasion.
Reflecting on the situation, Cundy remarked, “Harry’s behavior has crossed a line. It’s incredibly hurtful to not even send a Father’s Day message, especially considering the health challenges that Charles is currently facing.” She questioned whether Harry and Meghan privately celebrated the day, but noted that their public silence was disappointing.
As tensions between Charles and Harry continue to simmer, it remains to be seen whether the two will be able to reconcile and move past their differences. In the meantime, the public can only watch and wait for any signs of a thaw in their strained relationship.
